Wifi stops working when HDMI plugged in via display port adaptor

Every time I try to connect my external monitor I have an issue where after a few seconds my wifi connection stops working.

It still shows the available networks but asks for my wifi password again. When I try to enter it and click connect after a few seconds I just get the same error.

I was getting a similar issue with my Anker USB hub/Ethernet adapter but that was easily resolved by disabling the Ethernet port.

Has anyone had the same issue and managed to resolve it?

Thanks,

Greg

    Hi,

Let us work on this together. What are the steps you have done so far to resolve this connectivity issue when you’re connected to an external display? Are you using a Surface Docking station or a third party docking station? Is the latest firmware update installed to your Surface device?

We will look forward to your response.

Bumping this... Any news on why this is happening, its unacceptable, can i return my Surface Pro 4 bought before Christmas for perhaps a newer built one, is it a hardware issue?, im thinking it is, as its been known for quite a while there is a problem which should and could have been fixed in a software update.

Fuming here, this thing is pretty useless without basic features :(

Yeah I've still not had any luck with it. I'm worked it's a hardware defect across the devices. I've of my friends has the same issue with his.

In addition I get very similar behaviour when I plug my USB 3 hub.

Really disappointed in Microsoft's "launch now fix later"  approach to the SP4 launch.  So many issues.
