Surface Pro 3 turns on and off when keyboard is attached

My surface pro continuously turns on and off when the plug in keyboard is attached.  I removed it and used a USB keyboard and it is fine.  As soon as I go back to the plug in it happens again.  I check and don't see any keys that are stuck that would do this.

Thanks.

    Hi,

We want to know more about your concern. Regarding the plug in keyboard that is attached, are you pertaining to the type cover of the Surface Pro 3? Also, have you done any recent changes on your device prior to this?

Yes, it's the type cover on the Surface Pro 3.  I did not make any recent changes to the device.  I haven't used it in 2 weeks prior, but no changes.

Let's us go ahead and troubleshoot the issue by making sure that all the latest Surface and Windows updates are installed on your device. Here's the link on how to check and install updates.

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you do a two-button shutdown. Here's how:

    1. Press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds and then release it.
    2. Press and hold the volume-up button and the power button at the same time for at least 15 seconds, and then release both.

The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds.

    1. After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.

Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
