Unable to download Recovery Image of Surface Pro 7

I've been trying to download a recovery image for my Surface Pro 7 but after I have entered the serial number (which I have checked via the Bios and on the device) it says there's "An Error occured please try again). I have tried 4 different browsers on my Mac (My Surface is in an infinite Automatic Repair Loop). This is the third time the Automatic Repair loop has occured to me in the last 3 weeks. The first time I resorted to Resetting Windows where a clean copy was reinstalled from the media on the SSD but this time the Resetting option isn't available in the Troubleshooting menu when I am in Recovery Mode.

I have figured out the problem with the previously entering Automatic Repair loop may be due to a corrupted or unsigned EuDskCp.Sys file. I tried to first delete the file (in the command prompt) but still am not able to restart Windows 10

You will need to create the actual recovery USB stick on a Windows machine, so perhaps you can borrow a friend's Windows PC or have them download it for you and create the recovery USB. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage

(with a different Windows computer if yours is not working properly)

and download a recovery image for your Surface. You will need a 16GB or 32GB USB stick (also called a flash drive) formatted FAT32 (use a Windows computer).  You can't use an actual external USB hard drive for this and don't use anything larger than a 32 GB USB stick. Best to purchase and use a new, previously unused USB stick for this. Use FULL format and not quick format and give the volume a name like surfboot. Unzip/extract the recovery zip to the root of the formatted USB stick.

There are full instructions and a video at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023512/surface-creating-and-using-a-usb-recovery-drive#download

Another option MAY be to try Recover from Cloud - see Use Recover from the Cloud to Reinstall Windows 10 on Surface Book or Surface Pro (groovypost.com)

    Simon,

It appears that the recovery image downloads are returning errors for everyone. I've seen additional reports and have tried myself and received an error.

Thank you. It's not just me. I though I would download the image first before going on another machine as those downloads can take a long time. I wonder if Microsoft knows?

Same problem here. I need to download the file for my Pro 4 and I can't.

I'm wondering why you put a serial number verification to download the image while there's NO verification when we download Windows 10 iso.

Now your "check" seems to be the issue for everybody. It's a pain, It's a shame.

Looks like they fixed it. Can you try the download again and confirm it works for you?
