Surface Laptop 4 wireless (upload/download) speed issue

Question

Purchased a brand new Surface Laptop 4 a month back and experienced consistent slow wireless connectivity.

This is what I have attempted so far

1- Ran all Microsoft updates

2- Downloaded the most current driver/firmware pack and installed it

3- Uninstalled and re-installed wireless device drivers multiple times

All other devices on my home network are getting the full upload/download speeds.

Every time I re-install the wireless device driver the upload/download speed is fixed for a small period of time until it slows down again. In particular, the upload speeds are dropped to a crawl.

I have tested multiple times (when Surface wireless is acting up) other devices on my home network and they all consistently get download/upload speeds.

The laptop has the base Windows 11 image which came with the system.

Please try running these steps below first on your Surface Laptop 4 then see if the issue persist:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit

See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)

2: Check for Windows Update

Go to Windows Settings > Update & Security and select Check for updates

Make sure all updates need are installed including Optional updates

3: Run System File Checker Tool

See: Using System File Checker in Windows (microsoft.com)

If still the issue persist, please try the steps given on this page: Fix Wi-Fi connection issues in Windows (microsoft.com) under To run the Network troubleshooter and Network troubleshooting on your device.

Where did you purchase your SL4? These do not normally come with Windows 11 Enterprise pre-installed.

The laptop has the base Windows 11 image which came with the system.

I have the same issue. upload speed is only 2mbs. spent 3 hours with technical support. still not fixed
