Hello

I want to use my surface pro 8 with a SIM card in order to have internet everywhere.

My Surface model is:

Surface pro 8

11th Generation Intel Core I5 processor

8GB GO RAM

256GB GO

Is it possible to use a SIM card? Is there any adaptor to add a SIM card?

Thanks

    Hello Marta,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand the need to insert a SIM card in your Surface Pro 8.

Yes, the Surface Pro 8 has a SIM card slot that supports both LTE and 5G connectivity. You can insert a nano-SIM card into the slot located on the left side of the device. You can refer to the steps below:

    1. Place your Surface Pro 8 screen on a table and lift the kickstand to reveal the SIM door.
    2. Insert the included SIM ejector tool into the small hole on the SIM door to detach it.
    3. Push your SIM card into the SIM card slot until it clicks.
    4. Slide the SIM door into place, then press down until it clicks.

    Hopefully this helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.

I think my surface is not LTE. I can not find the space for the SIM card.

Is there ant adaptor or option in that case?

I did all the steps and don't see a sim slot there. I see some sort of chip that says 512GB on it, but the panel below it appears blank. There's a pin that, when I press it, a button pops up, but the button doesn't seem to have a function. Please see attached photo for details.
