    Hi Penny,

The screen of your Surface Pro 4 could be shaking because of software or hardware issues.

Here are some solutions that may help you resolve the issue.

    Force shutdown your device.

    1. Press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds and then release it.
    2. Press and hold the volume-up button and the power button at the same time for at least 15 seconds and then release both.

The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds. 3. After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds. 4. Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Surface logo.

Download and run the touch calibration tool.

For more information on how to request the tool, please refer to this link.

If none of the solutions provided resolve the issue, you can take your device to a Microsoft Store near you and have it assessed. Also, you can contact our Answer Desk for further assistance. If you're outside the US, please see the Global Customer Service phone numbers to get in touch with our Customer Support in your area.

    Hi Mike,

There are too many users having the exactly same issues.   Thousands of them on this forum alone.

Me too just got hit with this problem last month.   There is no fix.  Even Surface logo shakes on cold boot.

It is hardware defect.  No other explanation.

Calling to support yield no fix either.   After spent $1500 less than two years ago, they want me to pay up another $450 just to be able to use my device again...  outrageous!   ($450 for a replacement of refurbished unit)...
