Hi everybody

I have an issue. My camera driver from device manager is gone.

I tryed to install a camera driver from microsoft support, but after following the instruction it does not work.  I clicked the link of https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/search?query=drivers+in+Windows+10&ui=en-US&rs=en-GB&ad=GB. But after all this does not work.

I need the correct help.

kind regards

chris

    Hi ChrisMarin2,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

On the Device Manager, please try to click View on top then select Show hidden devices. Expand Human Interface Devices. Check if a camera driver appeared like Microsoft IR Camera, Front Camera and Rear Camera. If yes, try to double-click on it then check if the driver is having an error and share the error code with us.

Boot then the device to the UEFI screen. You may check this page for the steps on How to get to the UEFI settings. Once you are on the UEFI screen, go to Devices. Check if the camera options are enabled. If they are enabled already, disable them first then back to enabled after a few seconds. After doing that, choose Exit > Restart now.

If still issue persist, please try these steps below to troubleshoot further:

1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

    2: Update drivers and firmware

Check what is the current OS Build of your Windows version by going to Settings > System > About.

Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Go then click Download on the next page.

Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.

After downloading, run and install the .msi then Restart.
