Display colours become over-saturated when entering (some) full screen video playback

When I go into full screen mode on some videos - mainly YouTube via the Chrome browser - the colours become over-saturated. Sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes it changes after a few moments, sometimes it doesn't happen unless I adjust the screen brightness. If I go back to viewing the video within the browser window, it goes back to normal colours. I can't seem to find any setting to adjust display colours that affects the issue. Any tips?

    Hi SimonALarsson,

Thank you for posting your concern here in Microsoft Surface Community.

    • We would like to know if you have tried other browser like Edge?
    • May I please know if there's an error message?
    • Have you tried to update the chrome browser?
    • Have you tried to run the Surface Diagnostic tool or manually check for an update?

    Best regards,

    AlcyranC

Yes, I tried it in Edge and the same issue occurred when entering full screen. There's no error message. Both browsers tried were updated. I have no updates pending, but have not tried the Surface Diagnostics tool yet.

When examining this a bit more, I can see that there appears to be a short process to it. A few seconds after entering full screen playback, the display will gradually adjust over a couple of seconds, in what looks like several small steps, to increase the contrast and colour saturation to the point where the effect is obvious.

I have not been able to determine if it happens during playback of files on the computer or only in browsers, as I have no video files to play.
