Do you see this icon in the UEFI? It usually means the SSD has died. If you DON'T see this ico, try the recovery image https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage
Recovery Issue - Surface pro 5th Gen 1796
HI Guys, Well my Microsoft Surface Pro 5th Gen has crashed, Windows cant be accessed, Whenever I turn it on the windows automatically takes me Surface UEFI screen where I try to boot it but it doesn't anything and restarts to the same screen. As per my IT guy the recovery is encrypted with a Bitlocker key which I dont have nor do i know where to get it from. Please tell me what to do?

2020-12-25T07:53:13+00:00 I have the same problem with my surface pro laptop 5h generation. I also tried doing the recovery image but nothing happen neither. It said there was an error while I was in the process. Please someone help me solve this issue.

At what point EXACTLY did you get the error message and what was the exact error

2020-12-26T12:33:23+00:00 I replied to you but never answered thats why I created another thread. I get the error message when I click recover button from “Recover from a drive” option. It says “there was a problem reseting your pc, no changes were.” When actually theres no reset button. It doesnt let me do a recovery drive and yes I do see the icon in the UEFI.
