My Surface Pro X is working perfectly but after running an update on Friday the Surface Pro X signature keyboard is no longer working at all. I have tried all the fixes on this and other websites but it is still not working. How can I determine if it is broken or if it is a software issue.

    Hello, CLIFFORD CLARK.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

I noticed that this issue occurred after Friday's update, which did inconvenience you. I would like you to provide the specific serial number of the update if possible. We will collect it and provide feedback.

As for your keyboard issue, you have tried many fixes. I'm sure you've tried updating the drivers for your Surface Pro X as well.

I would recommend that you try to hide the update to determine if the issue still recurs. I will provide you with the relevant download tool:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/ F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/ wushowhide.diagcab

If you wish to further identify possible issues at the hardware level, but don't have access to testing for the time being, I recommend bringing your device to a nearby Micrsoft offline site. After describing the situation with the staff, I'm sure they will be more than happy to provide you with another Surface or Signature Keyboard for testing.

All in all, I think the chances of your hardware failing are very slim. I'm more than excited to see the results of your test after you hide the update.

I wish you all the best.

    Best Regards.
