Hi Martin,
Welcome to Microsoft Community. If the batteries on your Surface Go 3 devices are not charging or being detected, and you are unable to install Windows, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- When your Surface is plugged in, charge it for at least 15 minutes. The LED light should be on when your power connector is plugged into your Surface. If the LED indicator isn’t lit, you may have a problem with your power supply.
- Force a restart, Press and hold the power button until the logo screen appears (about 20 seconds). See Force a shut down and restart your Surface for more info.
If your Surface doesn't turn on at all, your device needs to be sent to Microsoft for repair or replacement.
- Sign in to Microsoft account | Select device for service.
- Choose the device that needs service, select Next and then follow the instructions to complete your service request.
Note: If your Surface is a business device (owned by an organization), see Surface service options for Business and Education.
