weird wifi issue

I have a Surface Laptop Studio, 2 years old. I recently started to notice the wifi will be fine and then drop from 800 mbps to 40 mbps. It stays there for about 10 seconds and then increases to normal levels. I tested the router and it is fine. Other devices don't have this issue. I can see on my mobile that the wfi speed from the router is stable but why is the lap top for no reason losing wifi strength? I connected the laptop directly to the router and there's no issues. Anyone know why the wifi won't maintain a proper connection? Or ideas I can try? It's really frustrating to be on a video call and then freeze because the wfi cuts to levels too low support what I'm doing.

    Hello, AndrewKiguel.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

After reading your description, I noticed that your Surface Laptop Studio is having issues with slow Wi-Fi or network reception. Also, based on the results of your test on your router, it looks more like a fault originating from the Surface Laptop Studio itself.

In this regard, I will share with you the following troubleshooting suggestions:

We will investigate from the Surface Laptop Studio's network drivers and network hardware.

First of all, to troubleshoot potential issues at the driver level, we can try to manually get the driver and firmware installation package for Surface Laptop Studio:

Download Surface Laptop Studio Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center

Once the download is complete, reboot the device to observe the network quality. If the problem stems from the network driver, it can usually be resolved with the above steps.

If the network issue persists, we will continue to investigate the failure at the hardware level. At this point, in order to obtain valid hardware support, I recommend that you contact the Surface Support team and send your Surface Laptop Studio to them for a hardware service. The Surface Support team can assist you with testing and attempting to fix your Wi-Fi failure.

I can direct you to Surface Live support, who can help you create a service order:

    1. Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:

    Contact - Microsoft Support

    1. Type Surface, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:
