Surface Book Keys not working d,m,o.

I bought a new Surface Go 3 laptop a couple of weeks ago - and only just noticed that a few of the keys don't work. (I use an external keyboard most of the time. )

I have tried reinstalling the drivers and completed a restrore to factory settings - but still no luck.

They worked for 10 mins after the factory re-set.. .but then stopped.

I bought the laptop in Dubai Mall, but am unable to go back there any time soon. I live in Thailand. Can I take it to a store there?

This is really dissapointing as it's brand new and I really can't be without a laptop.

    Hi Graham,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your Surface Go 3. If only a limited number of keys do not work, it is more likely a hardware rather than a software problem since some keys work fine and you have already tried resetting the system.

The Surface standard limited warranty and Microsoft Complete are applicable only in the country where you purchased your Surface.

If the problem with your Surface is not covered by the warranty or if your warranty has expired, your Surface may be eligible for out-of-warranty service for a fee. Be aware that out-of-warranty service for your device may no longer be available in your region. To learn more, Please contact Microsoft Support. Contact Us - Microsoft Support

    Your Sincerely

Thanks. The Surface laptop is only 2 weeks old - and I am now in a different country to where I purchased it.

I contacted MS support - and they say I will need to send it away for repair - which will take 6-8 working days. That is too long for me to be without my laptop.

I shall be popping back there (Dubai) in a few weeks, so shall take it back to the store.

I will request a refund/store-credit and purchase a MacBook. This whole MS experience has been very dissapointing. It's BRAND NEW!! Microsoft should allow any store to offer a replacement of their product if only a few weeks old!
