How to add device and sync with my Surface Pro?

Split from this thread.

I just changed the batteries.  I may have removed the mouse as a device.  How do I add the device and synch it with my Surface Pro?

    You apparently posted this in a 5 year old thread. It was split and moved to a new thread by Microsoft.

    Which mouse do you have? What version of Windows are you running (please run

    winver

    and post the OS and build number)

    You should double check that the device was removed and also go into settings and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter if trying to connect (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17156/windows-10-connect-to-bluetooth-devices ) fails.
