    Hi, Lawgirl6250!

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your concern. We are sorry to learn that your device has a notification sound whenever your device is out of balance. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this and allowing us to help you out. It seems that this may have something to do with rotation function on the device. You may want to check this article as it may help you out on how to Troubleshoot Surface screen rotation.

As for the sound, you can go to Settings > System > Sound to adjust some app volume and device preferences.

You may also go to Notifications & Actions under the same System settings as well. You may check the Get notifications from these senders portion to enable/disable sounds for settings in general.

If this answers your question, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.

    Kind regards,

    Janette_Z
