How do I get my Surface Pro 9 to sync to a different desktop?

My brother and I both have our own computers signed in under the same Microsoft Account. I just got a Surface Pro 9 but it is syncing with his desktop instead of mine. How do I get it to sync to my desktop instead?

A quick question, are you signed in as administrator on your Surface device?

    Hi savannah_m!

Thanks for giving us some time to further check on this.

To sync your Surface Pro 9 with your own desktop, you can follow these steps:

    1. On your Surface Pro 9, go to Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings.
    2. Turn off the "Sync settings" toggle switch.
    3. On your desktop, go to Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings.
    4. Turn on the "Sync settings" toggle switch.
    5. Make sure that the settings you want to sync are turned on, such as Theme, Internet Explorer settings, and Passwords.
    6. Sign out of your Microsoft Account on your Surface Pro 9 and sign back in.

Your Surface Pro 9 should now sync with your own desktop instead of your brother's. If you have any further issues, please let me know.

Please let us know with how it goes. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,

    RodelioP.
