physical left mouse button doesn't work on surface tablet, this is a tablet issue, not a mouse issue

Just the left button. It's like the tablet doesn't want to recognize the physical left button on the mouse. On every mouse I tried. All wireless, I don't even know someone with a wired mouse. the right works, but not the left. I tried all the suggested 7 options by all those repeat articles that **** AI is writing (it's getting worse isnt' it? soon I won't be able to find people who post questions on various sites to look for the unusual answer that's needed unless I go to that specific website and search their database, which is nuts to even think about all the different websites... sorry, quick rant...)

anyway, as I said, I did all the basics on trying to get it to work:

~ does it on 3 different wireless mouse, including one bluetooth

~ surface keyboard, the left button click on the pad works fine

~ all the mice work on my laptop, it's not the mice

~I can open mouse settings, change the buttons and when I click the right as if it's the left then it works so the function is there.

~ does it in safe mode (what's up with making it so hard to get to safe mode nowadays??)

I'd prefer not to have to reset my whole tablet and reinstall everything.

It's just so odd that it's not recognizing the left button...

Any suggestions (not on the AI lists I mentioned)
