    Hi Jayanta Bhattacharya2,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you're having problem with your Surface book 2 that is showing greyish ghost dots. The greyish ghost dots you are experiencing on your Surface Book 2's display may be related to a phantom ghost touch that could be a caused by a hardware issue or a software issue.

To determine the cause of the issue, I recommend that you try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Update your Surface Book 2 to the latest version of Windows and install all available updates.
    2. Check if the issue is present in the UEFI settings.
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Recovery.
      2. Next to Advanced startup, select Restart Now.
      3. Under Choose an option, select TroubleshootAdvanced OptionsUEFI Firmware Settings, and then select Restart.
      4. The steps above will open the UEFI page and see if the issue is visible.
    3. Try connecting your Surface Book 2 to an external display to see if the issue persists.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia

Hi! even after performing all the steps as asked by you to eliminate the Ghostly greyish Spots those appeared again and just hijacked my cursor and did not let me work. It did not even let me save my work. I had to shut down.

How long do I have to deal with these unwanted spots on the Dispaly?????????

Will you try disabling your touchscreen driver in device manager and see problem persist.

To disable the touchscreen driver on Surface Book 2, you need to follow these steps:

    1. Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen (Windows + X).
    2. Choose Device Manager.
    3. Expand Human Interface Devices.
    4. You will see a list of HID-compliant adapters.
    5. Right-click on HID-compliant touch screen.
    6. Choose Disable.

Check to see if problem persist. If you want to enable it again, you can follow the same steps and choose Enable instead of Disable.
