surface pen tip casing has broken

The tip casing of my surface pen has broken off  show casing more of the nib. the accuracy of the pen has lowered so when I draw or write my lines are wobbly and won't go straight. I'm doing an art degree and chose your product thinking the quality was high and long lasting, I've only had this pen and laptop for two months and didn't expect the pen tip to break so quickly. how long are the tips meant to actually last for? Does my warranty cover this?

Also every time I try do a device and repair service and I get to the payment section it just sends me all the way back to the beginning and wont let me do anything.

I need help, I have deadlines round the corner and can't create great work with a pen that won't work at the standard I got it at.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks,

Lucy

You are referring to the pen itself being broken, not the tip, correct? It is
unlikely that Microsoft will provide warranty coverage for a broken pen
casing, but you can use a phone to contact support and discuss
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4051701/global-customer-service-phone-numbers

    • ask for Surface support. Use the phone numbers listed under For BusinessUsers for your location (these also work for consumers/home users).

The broken casing is most likely the reason for the bad pen performance. Sadly,
you may have to purchase another pen.
