My stylus with the clip suddenly stop working, it’s connected with a new battery and the light flashes and sticky notes comes up, but won’t write.

Just to add I accidentally dropped my laptop and cracked the screen, which has now been replaced the touchscreen still works as I can use it with my fingers and have ran the diagnostic test and nothing showed.

Are you saying that after the screen was repaired that the pen did not work? Or did the pen work for a while after the repair and then stop?

If it never worked after the repair, you need to contact Microsoft and have them handle this. If it worked for a while after the repair, can you try your pen on someone else's Surface and their pen on yours to diagnose?

Note that pens do not need to be paired to write, so the bluetooth functions may continue to work to open apps etc.

Try reseating the pen tip or a new pen tip and try this pen on someone else's Surface and theirs on yours. Let us know results of this testing.
