    Hello, RC45.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

After reading your description, I surmise that you may not be able to access Windows currently and you want to reset your Surface Book 2.

We can try the following steps:

    1. From the current lock screen, hold down the Shift key while selecting “Power > Restart” in the lower right corner of the screen.
    2. After the Surface reboots to the Select an Option screen, select Troubleshooting > Reset this computer.

With this step, we can make a reset of the Surface Book 2. This is faster and easier than creating recovery media.

I look forward to your progress. And I am always here to support you.

    Best Regards.
