After reading your description, I surmise that you may not be able to access Windows currently and you want to reset your Surface Book 2.
We can try the following steps:
- From the current lock screen, hold down the Shift key while selecting “Power > Restart” in the lower right corner of the screen.
- After the Surface reboots to the Select an Option screen, select Troubleshooting > Reset this computer.
With this step, we can make a reset of the Surface Book 2. This is faster and easier than creating recovery media.
