Microsoft LifeCam Front not working anymore. Is it due to Microsoft Update on Win10?

Hi Microsoft Community,

A month ago, my front camera was perfectly working on my Surface running on Win 10 Pro x64. Nothing has changed since, except maybe automatical update patches.

Now the camera is not detected anymore - the rear camera still works fine.

I tried to change the drivers, go back to 10.0.19041.1741 version from June 26, 2006 instead of 5.20.1034.0 from June 16, 2014.

Note that when the driver from 2014 is used, the camera is not classified under Cameras in the Device Manager but Imaging Devices.

The rear Camera that works has only the 10.0.19041.1741 driver version from June 26, 2006.

I also tried to change the UEFI/BIOS setttings as per described on the surfacetip.com blog. Nothing changed...

Is there a conflict with a recent automatic update? How can I have my front camera back?
