Surface Go 3

Question

I have purchased a Surface Go 3 assuming it would serve as both a tablet to replace an ailing android one and a portable laptop. I think this might have been somewhat naive as I seem unable to install favourite apps which are not on Microsoft Play Store. I don't want to mess it up, so can anyone advise please?

I'm afraid your device does not meet the requirements. In that case, since this is a brand-new device, I highly suggest to check your replacement or refund options and get the Surface Go 3 with an Intel Core i3 processor instead,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. I understand how important for you to install these apps.

In this case, if you wish to install some android apps on the device, Windows Subsystem for Android may require installing the Amazon Appstore (Install mobile apps and the Amazon Appstore (microsoft.com)) which runs on devices that have Intel Core i3 8th Gen (minimum) or above processor. This means, Windows Subsystem for Android should work on the Surface Go 3 Intel Core i3 models but not on the Intel Pentium 6500Y model.

Apologies for not responding sooner, but thanks for your help. I am unsure what to do at the moment but may just keep Surface Go 3 as is,
