I'm trying to connect to my works VM ware using the app VMware Horizon View

I get the following error message:

"This desktop does not support the requested display protocol. Please contact your system administrator."

Google gave me the link above.

Can anyone help fix this?

    Issue resolved.

VMWare updated HorizonView app to support PCoIP.

    Hello TKsurface

Sorry to hear you are having issues with Surface RT and VMware.  Have you also reached out to the developer?  They may have insights on the error with their app.  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?  Any pending updates?  Do a full shut down and start.

    Best regards

Is there a way to send a private message to you?

Our large IT department (takes up multiple floors of a major city building) has contacted the even larger central IT department downtown and the server team at my company contacted the VMWare representative who is in charge of supporting the roll out the VDI for bring your own device project for our city.

I will update you both publicly here and privately with more specific details if there is a way to send private messages

I think the reason the app doesn't work is because it doesn't support PCoIP.

Most user reviews of the app mention this and give it 1 star.

I hope the developer starts to feel the pressure soon and develops PCoIP ASAP for Windows RT
