Depends on which USB to Ethernet adapter you have. There may be a driver for it already on your Surface, so all you would have to do is connect it. If there isn't a driver, you'd have to connect over WiFi and let Windows Update pull down a driver, if available.

Can someone guide me step-by-step regarding how to connect my Surface Pro 4 to a LAN network? Detail would be much appreciated. ( I have a working LAN network and a USB-LAN adaptor to connect to my Surface)
