Surface Book 3 Audio Issues Immediately

I just received a new surface book 3 earlier today and am having audio issues. The audio coming from the speakers is crackling, sort of like when you're talking to somebody on the phone who has a poor connection. I have disabled audio enhancements, run the troubleshooter, restarted my device, and reinstalled the drivers, but the audio quality is still poor. What else should I try? The microsoft call center told me to ask here.

    I am having issues with audio just stopping altogether.  I have the latest updates installed but randomly, audio will no longer be available.  I run the troubleshooter and until I get to the point of playing test sounds and clicking, "I didn't hear anything.", then the sound issues are resolved...until the next time it decides to stop working again.

    I had bad audio issues with my new SB3 and returned the laptop. 

    i was in a chat with tech support - they could not resolve the issue and advised me to have a replacement sent.

     Sadly Microsoft’s customer service has been totally lacking and absolutley terrible.
