Hello!

I have problem with my surface Book 2. I cannot connect to Internet. The device is able to see all networks arround, but after connecting there is just information "no network".

I'm sure that the network adapter is working correctly. I had dual boot with ubuntu installed, and on ubuntu wifi was working correctly.

I restored factory settings, installed newest drivers, but wifi stil isn't working

Wifi Driver version: 15.68.17022.122

    Hi Adrian Walczak,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community and apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Just to confirm: the device is able to connect to your Wi-Fi network but after connection, it would just show as No internet and you are not able to connect to the internet, correct?

May I know when did the issue started? Were there any changes made on the device before this started?

Have you tried connecting the device to another network and check if the same issue occurs with the other networks?

Kindly try first to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter of the device by following these steps:

    Open Devie Manager

    Expand Network adapters

Right-click Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller

    Select Uninstall device

Note: If prompted with a checkbox stating "Delete the driver software for this device", leave it uncheck then hit Uninstall

After uninstalling, restart the Surface to have the driver reinstalled then test if still issue persists

If in case the issue persists, let us try to reset the TCP/IP stack, release and renew the IP address, and flush and reset the DNS client resolver cache. Follow the steps below:

Search for Command Prompt on the search menu of your Taskbar

    Select Run as administrator

Type netsh winsock reset and hit Enter

Type netsh int ip reset and hit Enter

Type ipconfig /release and hit Enter

Type ipconfig /renew and hit Enter

Type ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter

Exit the Command Prompt window then check again if issue persists

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion

    Hi Marrion_Y,
Yes exactly, after connecting there is just information No internet, Secured:

Actually the problem started few weeks ago. As I said before, the strangest thing was, that while I had dual boot on ubuntu wifi worked fine, but on windows not.
I tried to test other networks, but it's the same.

Thanks for you advices, I already tried to turn off the network adapter and to update the drivers.
    Unfortunately didn't helped me.
I tried to reset the TCP/Ip stack, but without result :(

    Hi Adrian Walczak,

I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists,

Kindly proceed in performing a network reset on the device by following the steps provided in Use network reset under Network troubleshooting on your device section in this page: Fix Wi-Fi connection issues in Windows - Microsoft Support

If in case the issue persists, try booting the device to its UEFI screen. See: How to use Surface UEFI - Microsoft Support. Once you are on the UEFI menu, select Devices then toggle off the Wi-Fi option. Select Exit > Restart. After the restart, boot back to the UEFI screen and turn on the Wi-Fi option back.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion
