    Hi Saurabh Jain2,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us.

Your Surface laptop Go 2's SSD can be upgraded and should not void the device warranty. However, SSD removal is intended only for use by qualified IT technicians in an enterprise organization. When removing and replacing SSDs, it specifies the best methods that knowledgeable IT personnel should follow.

Opening devices and replacing components can present electric shock, device damage, fire, personal injury risks, and other hazards.

For more details, see SSD removal in compatible Surface devices - Surface | Microsoft Learn.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia

    Hello,

When you say upgrading ssd needs to be carried out by a qualified IT technician does that mean from Surface or any technician?

Because you only have one store in Sydney and if a person is based in Melbourne how will that be possible?

    Thank you!

Any qualified professional IT technician as long as can follow the safety precautions and procedures identified in the Surface Service Guide.

Be aware that any damage to the device caused during the process will not be covered under warranty.
