Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry.
We suggest the methods below to troubleshoot the issue:
- Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update.
- Try cleaning the mousepad area and see if the issue is caused by dust and dirt.
- Run the System File Checker.
- Disable Mouse trails. Go to the mouse settings > additional mouse settings > Pointer Options Tab > under visibility, uncheck the tick box to disable the display pointer trails.
- Refresh the mouse driver by going to 'Device Manager' then look for 'Mice and other pointing devices' and double-click > Right-click on "HID-compliant mouse" then select 'Uninstall' once uninstalled, restart your Surface.
- Change the mouse sensitivity through control panel settings. Go to search bar > Search for Control Panel > click on Hardware and Sound, then click onMouse (under **Devices and Printers). >**In **Mouse Properties,**go to pointer options > Adjust the sensitivity slider of the mouse pointer. > Check the tick box for Enhance pointer precision.
- Install the drivers package. Check the specific OS build of your Windows Settings> System> About. Download the driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Pro 6 and click download on the next page. Please choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next.
