Questions about Microsoft Precision Mouse

Hello,

I have a few questions about the Microsoft Precision Mouse and I was wondering if you can help me out. Here are my questions:

  1. Is the Microsoft Precision Mouse a discontinued product?
  2. What is the different between the Microsoft Precision Mouse (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/microsoft-precision-mouse/8r2x2zwv803p) and the Surface Precision Mouse (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/surface-precision-mouse/8qc5p0d8ddjt). The tech specs seem to be the same. Are they the same product?
  3. Will the wifi on the mouse be turned off completely when I use the mouse connected through the USB cable? I have looked at the specification but I do not see anything about this.

I hope this is the right place where to ask these type of questions.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Dan

    Hello DanXMan,

Thanks for posting your concern here.

When it comes to technical specification, Microsoft Precision Mouse and Surface Precision Mouse are actually the same and function the same. The only difference between the two is that Surface Precision Mouse is actually made and designed as a Bluetooth mouse for Surface devices bundle. Also, there is no need for you to turn off the Wi-Fi when connecting the mouse via Bluetooth. Regarding the USB functionality of the mouse, it's only compatible to devices running in Windows 7. See Precision Mouse tech specs and check Compatibility section for more details.

    Best regards,

    StevenK
