Surface Laptop Studio 2 charge stuck at 49%

Hi, my Surface Laptop Studio 2 is not charging beyond 49%. When I unplug the charger, the percentage gradually goes down and when it's plugged in again, it only maintains that charge state and doesn't go above that.

I unplugged and reduced the battery charge to as low as 5%, after which when I plugged in, it only went upto 49% and got stuck. The same problem continued after that.

I tried to both enable and disable the Battery Limit option in the UEFI, but the problem still persists in both cases.

In the Surface app, under Battery & charging, the Status state is being shown as Paused, and the Charge to 100% button is greyed out.

Please suggest how I can charge at least upto 80%, if not 100%. Thanks.

    Hi everyone, on September 25, 2024, I received the following 3 updates:

    1. Surface - Firmware - 12.102.139.0
    2. Surface - System - 89.0.4.0
    3. Surface - Firmware - 18.101.143.0

    These updates were installed together and they seemed to have solved the problem of my Surface battery being charged to 100% despite having the Battery Limit option in the UEFI disabled**.**

    Hi Hahn,

    Thank you for your response. Kindly treat this matter as an urgency as this is a brand new laptop for me but I am only able to use it with power plugged in, which vastly limits the potential of such a device.
