I have a surface 5 that hasn't been charged for month. I'm charging it now, but it doesn't respond even after hours of charging. Does this mean it's dead?

    Hi יעל Golan,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

If your Surface Laptop 5 has not been charged for several months and now doesn't respond even after hours of charging, there may still be a chance to revive it. Here are some steps to try:

    • Check that your power supply is working: The LED light should be on when your power connector is plugged into your Surface. If the LED indicator isn’t lit, you may have a problem with your power supply.

Charge your Surface using the power supply that was designed for your Surface or using a USB Type-C PD charger (for Surface devices that have a USB-C port).

    • Wake it up with keyboard shortcuts:
    1. Connect to a keyboard or use an integrated keyboard.
    2. Press the Windows logo key  + Ctrl + Shift + B.

    Your Sincerely
