    Hi Paul,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

If you're having trouble downloading the recovery image for your Surface Pro 4 and are getting a "temporarily unavailable" error, here are some steps you can try:

    • Check Microsoft’s Surface Recovery Image Page: Sometimes, the availability of recovery images can be affected by maintenance or updates. You can check the [Surface Recovery Image Download - Microsoft Support] again later.
    • Try a Different Browser or Device: Sometimes switching browsers or using a different device can resolve download issues. Clear your browser's cache and cookies and then try again.
    • Try a Different Network: If possible, try downloading the recovery image from a different network to rule out any issues with your current network.
    • Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, it might be best to contact Microsoft Support directly. They can provide specific assistance and may be able to provide an alternate download link or method. Contact Us - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

Hahn. W - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
