Can not pair Sony MDR-XB950N1 headset with surface book

I am trying to pair Sony MDR-XB950N1 Bluetooth  3.0 headsets with surface book but for some reason, the Surface Book can not find Sony MDR-XB950N1. There was no problem in pairing Sony MDR-XB950N1 with my android phone with NFC.

I have updated the Bluetooth driver on surface book but still, the Sony MDR-XB950N1 is not visible in Bluetooth devices search.

HELP please....

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

It is really strange that Surface Book and Sony MDR-XB950N1 are both released in 2016 & 2017 and they have a pairing/compatibility issue. People should really check compatibility before buying expensive stuff like this......

    Best regards,

I have surface pro4 and have paired with mdrxb950n1 without trouble. You need to hold the power button on N1 for over 7 seconds till you hear "ready for pairing". You should see it in "devices" and connect.

You also might want to unpair it from the phone first

    Hello Mr Black,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I used Surface pro 4 for a year and upgraded to Surface Book last summer. But I bought the Sony 950N afterwards so I never used it with my surface pro 4.

The headphones are awesome but still I am forced to use the wired option while using it with Surface Book.

I have tried every trick in the book, still no luck.

    Best regards,

    Vikas
