I am not able to find where to change the font size on a Kindle book I purchased with my Surface. I was easily able to do it on my previous Samsung tablet which was Android based. Is there a way to change the font on the surface?

According to the description of the Kindle app in the Windows Store, it should be possible to change the font size.

I don't have the app installed on my Surface so I can't be sure but I suspect, like most native apps on Windows 8.1, you should open the Charms menu (by swiping from the right hand side of the screen or by pressing the Windows Key and C). You should then see Settingsor something similar. I would expect you to be able to change the font size in there.

If that fails, have you tried pinching the screen?

Swipe up from the bottom bezel and you'll see the font size option on the bottom left.

Another option - if you're docked and using a mouse and keyboard with your Surface then you should be able to access the menu with the font size in the Kindle app by pressing Ctrl + Alt + O.

This is the only helpful reply I have read. I am using a desktop and tried clicking and dragging all over the screen with no result. The App Commands in the lupper left menu did nothing.

So thank you for this. The app is now suseable.

How would one know that Ctl+Alt+o would do this?

    go to:

Keyboard Shortcuts for Kindle for PC

On the Microsoft Surface, you may need to exit tablet mode and go to desktop mode for the keyboard shortcuts to work.

Got mine adjusted but do not remember if I was in tablet or desktop mode (probably desktop to get full access to the keyboard shortcuts).
