Hello,

I regularly work on my Surface Pro 5. From the past two weeks, I've observed that my Surface Pro 5 battery is draining really fast. Can anyone solve this issue please, suggest solutions. Thanks.

Regards,

    Hello Ravi Teja Ch,

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community and posting your concern here.

We suggest to do these methods:

    • Run Power troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Power > Run the troubleshooter.
    • Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check for Windows Update. Make sure to check View Optionalfeatures and install all recent updates. Restart the Surface after installing updates.
    • Updatedrivers and firmware Check what is the current OS Build of your Windows version by typing winveron the search barnear the Windows logo.

Go to **Download driver and firmware for Surface,**choose (your Surface model) then click Download.
Choose the .msi file that matches or nearest to your current OS Build and click Next.
After downloading, run and install the .msi then Restart.

    • Set Power slider. Click Battery icon on the taskbar and set the slider to Recommended.

Let me know how it goes. Don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.

I have run the troubleshooter. Everything was fine but didn't solve the problem.

But now with latest updates in the meantime, the problem appears to be solved. Now it just works fine like before.

But I think your query response time needs to be a bit shorter. There is no point in answering the query after two weeks and moreover the problem was solved by itself with next latest update. My honest feedback. Thanks.
