Edit: SOLVED: Any way of accessing Intel HD Graphics Driver setttings? UNACCEPTABLE contrast switching of Intel HD driver

EDIT: After installing the drivers for the second time the system kept them. I can now access the Intel Graphics setting and disable the Power Saver features which also stops the screen "flickering". Now i have to test if this has an impact on battery live. Would be nice if in future MS releases of the drivers this could be included.

Hello,

there is a VERY ANNOYING issue which i guess is related to the energy saving options of the Intel HD graphics driver:

Below aroung 25% of display brightness the display keeps dimming and brightening dynamically when switching between dark and bright apps/windows even though the automatic display brightness adjustment is disabled. I understand that this behavior might be caused through the energy saving options onboard the Intel drivers for the graphics card. Unfortnately, there is no way of accessing the Intel control utility to switch this off since it is apparently not included in the MS drivers provided on the surface.

If i try to install the latest drivers from Intel manually to have access to the Intel configuration, the Surface will revert directly back to the older drivers, disabling the settings once again.

This is a serious issue since it makes it very unpleasant to use the device with lower display brightness, i.e. in dark rooms. Is there any way of accessing the Intel Control Panel to disable the contrast switching?

Thanks and best regards,

Martin
