Hello,
I left my surface pro 3 on and went sleeping. Woke up in the morning and tried switching ON my surface pro 3 using power button but no response. After that I pressed the power button for 30 sec and then tried hard shutdown using power+volume up button using 30 s (see the surface logo at 20 sec). Again I tried switching On using the power button and the same issue.
Could you please help? Thank you.

Any difference if you detach the type cover and remove microSD card and anything
attached to the USB port?

I did tray as mentioned in the link. The problem still persist and the tablet is not able to boot beyond the Surface logo screen. I also tried to boot it to external USB bootable OS drive but still the same problem.
Do you have any other suggestion.
Thank you,
Vikas
Hello Barb, I did try to implement as you mentioned but of no help.
try the two button restart one more time
Step 1: Press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds and then
release it.
Step 2: Press and hold the volume-up button and the power button at the same
time for at least 15 seconds and then release both.
The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons
down for at least 15 seconds.
Step 3: After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.
Step 4: Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You
should see the Surface logo.
other than that, if you tried everything (including the above) on
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023537/surface-surface-wont-turn-on-or-wake-from-sleep
it's probably a hardware issue.
