How to change battery new surface pen (2017 version)?

I just purchased the new surface pen (2017 version, without the clip) for my Surface Book.

I have to say that the screen is so much more responsive to the new pen, especially the press and hold to right click, and the double tap to open a folder or file.

Anyways, this is probably a dumb question: -could someone confirm how to open the pen to change the battery?

The instructions seem to suggest to simply pull the cap off the pen, without twisting a little first. Is this correct?

(For the original pen that came with the surface book, the cap had to be twisted slightly before pulling it off the pen).

Nevermind, I just opened the pen to access the battery compartment by pulling the cap straight up and off the body of the pen.

It's very easy, actually very little force is needed to pull the cap off the pen.

So I think I answered my question.
