MICROSFT SURFACE BOOK 2 - SPILLED COFFEE ON KEYBOARD

Good evening all.

I spilled coffee on my surface book 2 keyboard and now my keys are super sticky!!

I know and am sure this is expected considering it was quite a bit of coffee that was spilled.

Everything works fine. Cleaned it as quickly as possible with paper towels and let it sit.

All of my keys still work but now almost seems like I have to press them with force in order for them to register.

Any recommendations on cleaning?

Should I bring to a geek squad at Best Buy to see if they can pull it apart and clean it?

Any recommendations would be very helpful!

Thank you in advance!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community, KrisRoux. We're sorry for what happened to your device.

You may try these tips on how to clean your Surface: Clean and care for your Surface (microsoft.com). But if issue still persists, the liquid might have penetrated to the keyboard resulting not to function as intended. You can have it checked to your third party retailer if you have warranty with them. Otherwise, kindly contact our support via Contact Us Microsoft Support to seek exchange options for your device. You can also contact them via phone, see Global Support Phone Numbers.
