Hello, Alex OJU.
Welcome to Microsoft Community!
Often times there is ambiguity in how we feel about our usage, to better identify if there is a problem with your battery, we can try to generate a battery usage report:
1. Open PowerShell:
Type “PowerShell” in the taskbar search box, then right-click “Windows PowerShell” and select “Run as administrator Run as Administrator”.
2. Generate a battery report:
In the PowerShell window, enter the following command: powershell powercfg /batteryreport
.
When executed, the system generates a battery performance report and saves it to the user folder (usually in C:\Users\your username\battery-report.html
).
3. To view the report:
Open File Explorer, navigate to your user folder, locate the battery-report.html
file, and double click to open it to view the battery performance report.
The battery report generated by analyzing the report content will contain the following information:
- Battery design capacity and full charge capacity
- Charge cycle history
- Battery usage time and charging history
You can share the report in the thread and I can assist you in determining if the battery is actually the problem.
I am here to support you.
Best Regards.
