how to add a booting system

I just got the Chromebook yesterday its a surface go 3 model. I watched youtube yesterday and did the required updates for it last night. I log ont it this morning only to be told there is no booting system available. I have tried everything expect the usb as the usb drive port is not for an actual usb drive. What usb drive do i need to use for a Surface Go 3 Chromebook

    To clarify first, the Surface Go 3 is not a Chromebook, it runs on Windows 11 operating system. If you're trying to install a different operating system, such as Chrome OS, on your Surface Go 3, it may not be compatible and could cause issues with the device.

    On the other hand, if what you meant is you have a Surface Go 3 with the preinstalled operating system which is Windows 11 and after doing an update last night, you are now prompted with an error when you turn it on, I would like to clarify on the exact message you get. Are you getting the "No Bootable Device" error or is it the "Couldn't find a bootable operating system. Check the Boot configuration to try to fix this." error?
