    Hi Tech Sancho,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I am aware that you're having trouble turning on your Microsoft Number pad and your desire to connect it with your Surface pro 5. I am here to help and let us work on this together.

To turn on the Microsoft Number Pad, slide the switch on the bottom of the number pad to turn it on. The power button can be found at the back next to the Bluetooth button. It will automatically enter pairing mode and the LED light will flash. If it doesn't, press and hold the pair button on the bottom of the number pad for 5 seconds or until the LED light starts to flash.

To connect the Microsoft Number Pad to your Surface Pro 5, follow these steps:

    1. Turn on Bluetooth on your Surface Pro 5.
    2. On your Surface, select Connect if a notification appears for your number pad, then wait for it to get set up.

If you don't see the notification. Select Start, then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other devices > Bluetooth > Microsoft Number Pad > Done.

For more details, see Use Microsoft Number Pad - Microsoft Support.

I hope the provided solution works for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
