Surface Go won't switch out of S mode due to Microsoft Store issue

Can anyone help with this issue - my understanding was that with this new Surface Go and my Office 365 account I would be eligible to switch for free (on a one-way basis) from S mode to Windows 10 home.

The Microsoft Store is up to date though Windows update has refused to do any updates since a day ago (see third image below).

    Hi Crookesmoor,

We are aware of a service-side issue where some customers are still unable to connect or download updates from the Windows Update service. We are actively investigating this issue. Thank you for your patience.

For more information, please view our thread in the Windows forum, Windows update says we couldn't connect it to the update service, Store apps also encountering error while download.

    Hope this helps,

    Greg

Thanks Michael, that sounds plausible. I have a support call from Microsoft booked for Thursday evening so perhaps I will get the same kind of response.

Thanks for replying but of course this was not of any help - as you can see from my screenshots, I have done this, found the Activation screen and it is saying that I can't due to the 'version of Microsoft Store'.

As I mentioned, the Store had updated to the latest version (I think that was on Monday) so a glitch still exists somewhere.

It just fixed itself this afternoon (just as I was thinking how an iPad might not have had such issues!).

The store updated itself and then it was fixed - Windows Update also came back to life.

Better late than never, but thanks again.
