Cannot detect second battery (in Screen) of Surface Book 2 and randomly restarts

My surface book 2 cannot detect its 2nd battery in the screen (which I've verified through battery reports) and it randomly restarts without warning.

To resolve these issues: I've reinstalled multiple drivers and even reinstalled windows 2 times. Problems still persist. I believe the issue is the 2nd battery itself or its connecting wires. The laptop surprisingly reaches 70 degrees without any programs running to fix this I've placed external fans on the back of the screen (where the CPU and battery are). I think it may be thermal throttling.

That's my take, but don't quite know what to do now.

    Hi AJ7776,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community and I'm sorry to hear that battery 2 is no longer detected on your Surface Book 2.

Have you tried detaching the clipboard from the base then connecting the charging to the charging port at the bottom of the clipboard?

Considering that Windows reinstall was tried already and issue persists, this likely a hardware issue already on the battery. I suggest contacting our live support fo options available and for further assistance on this. You may reach them through these options:

    1: Through the Surface app

Open the Surface App and select Help & support > Get help.

Type in the problem you need help with.

Look at any available solutions offered and select Contact Support.

Yep, I've physically disconnected the screen and connected the charger. It worked for an hour or so (on battery) and then would only work if it was plugged in. Though it was plugged in the screen would not detect the battery.

Yeah, I'll probably get in contact with Microsoft Support.

    Thanks
