Running the audio troubleshooter might be able to help resolve the issue. To run the troubleshooter, select the Start button, type Troubleshoot, and then select Troubleshootfrom the list of results. Select Playing Audio > Run the troubleshooter.
Try to turn off Audio Enhancements. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to Start , enter Sound, and select Sound Control Panelfrom the list of results.
- On the Playbacktab, right-click (or press and hold) the Default Deviceand select Properties.
- On the Enhancementstab, select theDisable all enhancementscheck box and try to play your audio device.
- If that doesn't work, select Canceland, on the Playbacktab, select another default device (if you have one), select the Disable all enhancements check box, and try to play audio again. Do this for each default device.
You can also try to connect another monitor. This will help you determine if this is a software or hardware issue.
