Surface Slim Pen2 not charge with Surface Type cover after firmware updated

Question

This is my second post, after I updated the firmware my Surface Slim Pen 2 doesn't charge anymore with y Surface Type Cover, though the Type cover keyboard is working well. I have tried as below:

1. Reset the Pen
2. Charge the Pen with other Surface it is working well
3. Reset my Surface Pro 8 and reinstall with Original download image from Microsoft.
4. My SAM version is 11.300.139.0
5. Windows Version : 23H2 (OS build 22631.3227) Windows 11 Enterprise

so bad that my surface warrant expired a last month, but this is cause by Microsoft Update I hope Microsoft should somehow responsible providing a hotfix for this issue.

If the cover does not charge other pen, the keyboard cover is broken. It is common failure when using the keyboard counterside flipped.

If other keyboard cover is functioning alright for your surface, the device is okay. Only the keyboard cover is defunctioning i guess.

I'm not sure if the support department will accept the replacement or not, but you can ask them to accept.

I am sorry that i don't have any problem with newer firmware on my surface 8 or 9, maybe the defunctioning unit is the keyboard not the firmware.

It happened right after I updated the firmware, if the firmware is not a cause that would be an coincident.

I have the same issue, Surface Pro 8.

Slim Pen 2 suddenly stopped charging.

I bought a new one thinking it was the pen, but that doesn't charge either.

No idea why MS is sitting on this issue without a fix. It's kinda important.
