i did a win 10 update and now my surface is not letting it boot up saying i need a recovery key and to go to http:windows.microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq but i go to it and it will not give me nothing but info on what it is and not the key i have the key id and the drive label but not the key can you guys help

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey - is your key there? if you set up your Surface with a Microsoft Account it should be available there. If not, you may need to reimage from a downloadable recovery image https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacereco... - let us know if you found the key in the account page or not and we will proceed from there.
