I'm in serious need of a new Surface Pro device. That device will most likely be the top of the line X model as I've been waiting for 3+ yrs for the Book 3.

I’ve been trying to do the research to see if Acrobat DC desktop will work on ARM as this is the most important program for me that I use on a daily basis.

Can anyone help before I shell out $ 1,800 +??

    Hi Jeff_George,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Surface Pro X is a Windows 10 ARM based computer. 64-bit applications that have not been ported to ARM64 will not install on the device, some games and CAD software, and some third-party drivers or anti-virus software. New 64-bit apps are coming to ARM 64 all the time. You'll need 64-bit (ARM64) apps, 32-bit (ARM32) apps, or 32-bit (x86) apps. You can usually find 32-bit (x86) versions of apps, but some app developers only offer 64-bit (x64) apps. You may check this page for more details with the Surface Pro X compatibility.

I found here under system requirements that Adobe Acrobat DC comes 32-bit and 64-bit version compatible with Windows 10. I would suggest that you contact also Adobe Support to make sure and to check also if the Adobe Acrobat DC has an ARM based version.

    Hi,

I have used Acrobat Pro DC 2015 32bit version (Standalone-not subscription) with  Surface Pro X . It worked well with all the functions

I also used foxit Phantom PDF from Windows Store.
