Hi, so I can no longer turn my Surface Pro on/off using the power/lock button. I have to manually shut down my computer from the menu or just close it in order for it to sleep. To wake it up, I have to click multiple times on my mouse. Why is this button not working? Any solutions?

    Hi.

    Look for some recommendations below:

Normal way to shut down: Go to Start > Power > Shut down or press and hold the power button until the Slide to shut down your PC screen appears (about 4 seconds), and then slide down.

Force shut down: Press and hold the power button for a full 10 seconds, until the screen turns off, then release the power button. Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Surface logo.

Open Settings, Search for Power and Sleep, under Related Settings, select

Advanced Power Settings, then on the left, Choose what the power button does. If

it is not set to your preference, you can reset it here. If it is already set to

what you want, select the link to Change plan settings, then select Restore

default settings for this plan. Restart.
